The act of charity is one of the most important ways that we are called upon to support each other, help our communities, and reach out to lift the world. Offering hope through sharing is an important part of our Catholic identity. Charity in all of its variety, offers those in need a doorway that when opened can change a person's circumstances and often alter their life. The Doors of Hope project is an exciting celebration of our commitment to inspire through charity, and the Toronto Catholic District School Board is proud to be participating in this event. Over 30 TCDSB schools took part in creating individualized works of art, all based on a unique type of canvas: a door that has been donated to the project. These beautiful creations, designed to shed light on the virtue of Hope, were presented in connection with the 100th anniversary celebration of Catholic Charities, and will also be used to support the Board's 2013/2014 pastoral plan which focuses on the theological value of hope.
